James Ronald Sanders, 72, of 159 Dunahoo Bend Road, Ft. Gaines, Georgia, died, Sunday, June 18, 2017 at his residence.
Memorial graveside rites will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, June 24, 2017, at New Park Cemetery in Ft. Gaines, with the Rev. Ralph Estes officiating. The family will greet friends thirty minutes prior to service at the cemetery.
Mr. Sanders was born January 26, 1945, to the late James (Jim) and Sallie Maude Dunahoo Sanders in Marietta, Georgia. He was retired superintendent with the city of Ft. Gaines Georgia after many years of service. He also worked with the George T. Bagby State Park and Lodge, and Meadow Link Golf Course. He was a graduate of Ft. Gaines High School and attended ABAC.He was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of thirty years, Dorothy Tatum Sanders of Ft. Gaines; one daughter, Leigh Ann S. Willis of Blakely, Georgia; three step-children: Ronnie Brady and wife Lorena of San Antonio, Texas, Alan Brady and wife Felicia of Woodstock, Georgia and Wanda B. Ferguson of Ft. Gaines, Georgia. He was preceded in death by a son, James Steven Sanders.
