James was born July 10, 1960 in Blakely, GA to Johnny Forest Middleton and Rachel Alexander Middleton.He was employed as a mechanic at Stan's Auto & Truck Sales where he could repair anything, if left alone.James was a good neighbor to the residents of Hobbs Street.When the grass was growing, he would maintain their lawns along with washing cars and any other task that needed attention.Every year on Independence Day he would decorate the neighborhood with American flags and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his mother, Rachel Middleton; sister, Terrie Smith and her husband Stan; a brother, Gene Middleton and wife Ashlee; and three nephews, Payton Smith, Patrick Smith, and Travis Smith his wife Samantha and their children, Jaxson and Cason.
James was preceded in death by his father and a brother, John Middleton.
