James "Ed" Kelly

Mr. James Edward “Ed” Kelly, 86, of Blakely Georgia passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Born in Henry County Alabama, March 6, 1937 to the late J.M. Kelly and Annie Pearl Burdeshaw Kelly. Also predeceased by two siblings Marvette Kelly and Vickey Kelly. Mr. Ed spent many years working as our local parts guy, serving the local community, as owner of Superior Sales here in Blakely. He was also a member of the First Methodist Church of Blakely. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Janis English Kelly. Children, James Mark Kelly (Marie) of Dothan, Jamie Kelly Chapman (Wesley) also of Dothan. Grandchildren. Wes Chapman (fiancé Krysti Raymer), Ryles Chapman (Chelsie), Matt Chapman (Jillian), and Mary Katherine Chapman (fiancé Colton Carpenter). Great-Grandchildren, Maddie, Saylor, Sawyer, Beau, and Scout. Sisters, Joyce Housley, Annette Simpson, Jan Kelly, Kim Irvin (John), and Brother, Billy Kelly (Charlotte), several nieces and nephews also survive. Memorial Services will be announced for a later date. Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
