James Houston

December 14, 1925 — November 4, 2017

James Houston, 91, of Donalsonville, GA, passed away Saturday, November 4, 2017 at the Seminole Manor Nursing Home in Donalsonville, Ga. A Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at 2 PM in the Houston Cemetery, Hwy 27 S., Blakely, Ga. with Nephew Tommy Houston officiating.

James was born on December 14, 1925 in Shawmut, AL to the late Aubrey Dewey Houston and Tembie Bell Bridges Houston. He was a sheetrock installer for a Commercial Construction Company and a U. S. Navy Veteran of WWII. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lucy Johnson Houston and 3 brothers, Walter, George and Charles Houston.

His survivors include 2 sisters, Lera Cole and her husband Bud of Blakely, GA and Emma Rogers of Donalsonville, GA. Several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews survive.
