James Clifford (Jace) Cheney III passed away November 26, 2021.A graveside service is planned for Monday, December 6, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at the Morgan City Cemetery with Bro. Chris Holdorf officiating.

Jace was born January 23, 1972 in Calhoun County to Mae Beckum Cheney and the late James Clifford (Jimmy) Cheney Jr.He was a graduate of Calhoun County High School.

Jace never met a stranger and never forgot a face or name.He loved everyone, especially his family and was fiercely protective of them.His pranks and antics were well known by many, especially those who hunted with he and his father.He was a country music fan and could tell you any and everything about a song or artist.He also enjoyed spending time watching his vast collection of movies and dvd's.To know Jace was to love him and everyone did.His time on earth was brief but he left a special impact on all who crossed his path.

Jace was preceded in death by his father, James Clifford Cheney Jr., Paternal grandparents, James Clifford Cheney Sr., Virginia Cheney. Maternal grandparents, James Lewis Beckum, Lois Beckum.Uncle Wesley Beckum, Aunts Kay Chambless and Nell Breedlove.

His survivors include his mother, Mae Beckum Cheney, sister Jamie Wright, aunt Dawn (Jerry) Scarborough, nephew Wesley Cheney, nieces Ashley and Jenny Wright.
