Jacquelyn Davis Maddox

Jacquelyn Davis Maddox, age 80, passed away December 22, 2022, at her home surrounded by family. Jacquelyn was born at Early Memorial Hospital, Blakely GA on November 8, 1942 to Earnest Jackson and Juanita Williams Davis. Jacquelyn grew up in Blakely GA and graduated from Blakely Union High. Jacquelyn was a home maker and was married to Samuel Guy “Buddy” Maddox, Jr in 1962. She was a generous, loving woman and loved by all she met. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, S. G. Maddox, Jr, and a daughter, Monica Maddox Odom. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Phyllis Davis Krack. She is survived by her daughter, Ginger Maddox Cushing (Joey ); grandchildren, Samuel Maddox Odom, Izabella Cushing Temples and (Will), Eli Cushing; great- grandchild, Josie Gin Temples, A brother, Terry Davis; as well as two nephews Chan Benton and Adam Benton and families. Her funeral will be, Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at 11 am at Centerville Methodist Church, Blakely, with Rev. Lori Lewis officiating and Brad Hughes providing music and Elizabeth Massey Brooks singing. The family will receive friends from 10 am until the time of service. Burial will follow in Blakely Cemetery. Honorary Pallbearers are Samuel Odom, Eli Cushing, Will Temples, Chan Benton, Jacob Benton, Adam Benton, Luke Benton, and Jack Davis.
