J. W. "Buddy" Durham

John Wingate "Buddy" Durham, 82, of 6765 Second Kolomoki Road, Bluffton, GA passed away at his residence on, Monday, Feb. 27, 2017. His funeral will be Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Colomokee Baptist Church with Rev. T. J. Bennett officiating.The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11 a.m.Burial will be in the Colomokee Cemetery with Kenneth Durham, Tyler Durham, Joey Durham, Hunter Durham, Adam Raines and Cole Medlin serving as pallbearers.

Mr. Durham was born August 28, 1934 in Blakely, Ga to the late Ephie Lawrence Durham and Lonnie Jenkins Durham.He was a retired farmer and former owner of Bluffton Peanut Company and a member of the Colomokee Baptist Church.Other than his parents he was preceded in death by 2 sisters; Helen Mitchell and Ouida Hayes, 2 brothers; Thomas E. Durham and Emory Durham.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Scarborough Durham, 2 sons; Keith Durham, Bluffton, GA, Ladon Durham and Angie of Blakely, GA, 5 grandchildren; Joey Durham, Hannah Medlin and Cole, Hunter Durham and Kendall,all of Bluffton, GA,Danica Raines and Adam, and Tyler Durham all of Blakely. 3 great-grandchildren; Leanna, Sadie Medlin of Bluffton, GA and Libby Jo Durham of Little Rock, Arkansas.
