Wayne Stebbins of Columbia, Alabama passed away Thursday, November 17, 2022 at his home with his wife by his side. Mr.Stebbins was buried in the Flat Creek Baptist Church cemetery on Friday, November 18, 2022.There will be a memorial service at the chapel of Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home Saturday, December 3, 2022 at 2p.m. Harold Wayne Stebbins, born February 19, 1932 in Monson, Massachusetts. Wayne was the youngest of 7 children for Elmer and Virgina Stebbins. He is survived by his wife Molly Frances Stebbins and four children, Debbie Stebbins Carter-Bolf, Floresville, Texas; Dena Stebbins DeCamp, Lakeland, Florida; Ronald Wayne Stebbins; Virginia Beach, VA and Dora Lee Brown, Houston, Texas. Wayne has numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great, great grandchildren. Wayne served in the United States Air Force from 1950 to 1953, when he received an honorable discharge. He grew up on a dairy farm in Massachusetts and continued his love of working on his father’s farm after they moved to central Florida and later having his own farm and cattle in Texas. Wayne loved his family was a hard worker with a good sense of humor. God saw you were getting tired, and a cure was not to be, So He put His arms around you and whispered “Come with Me.” With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A Golden Heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest, God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.
