Gracie Clark King, a beloved resident of Blakely, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at the age of 86. Born on May 21, 1938, in Bridgeboro, Georgia, Gracie lived a life full of love, dedication, and service. Gracie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Edward King, her parents, Perry Jackson Clark and Minnie Estelle Clark, and her siblings, Margaret Griffin, Jack Clark, Spurgeon Clark, Derrell Clark, Kate Carter, Evelyn Hoover, and Joan Sammons. She is survived by her children, Robert Edward "Eddie" King, Jr. (Laurie) of Blakely, Rodney Andrew "Andy" King of Blakely, Daniel Clark King (Angie) of Blakely, and Sandra King Casey (Sherman) of Monroeville, Alabama. Gracie was a proud grandmother to ten grandchildren and great-grandmother to eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Bebe Clark of Blakely. Gracie dedicated 30 years of her professional life as a bookkeeper for Grist Oil Company. Following her retirement, she pursued her passion for gardening by owning and operating the Greenhouse Market Nursery, where she shared her love for plants and nature with the community. A faithful member of the Blakely Church of Christ, Gracie served as a Sunday School teacher for children's classes, imparting her wisdom and kindness to the younger generations. Her faith and commitment to her church were central to her life. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Gracie's life at a funeral service on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at the Blakely Church of Christ, with Danny Brewer officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home. Gracie's grandsons will honor her as pallbearers.
