Glynis Kemph Cox, 70, of Edison passed away at her residence on Tuesday morning, August 31, 2021, following an extended illness.
She was born in Edison on January 31, 1951 to the late Samuel Bain and Frances Pate Kemph. Glynis completed her education with a Master of Fine Arts degree, attending LaGrange College, East Carolina University, and Florida State University as a honors student. She was Methodist by faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a nephew, Alex Gray.
Survivors include her husband of forty-nine years, Charles Cox; her sister, Kathy Gray (Lynn) of Bluffton; a sister-in-law, Carol Floyd (Ronald) of Elijay, along with three nieces and one nephew, Emily Holden (Hartley) of Horseshoe Plantation, FL, Erin Brown (Joey) of Edison, and Kevin & Tonya Floyd of Atlanta.
A private family graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 2, 2021, in Vincent United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jackie Williams officiating. In the event of rain, the service will be held in the Church.
