Gloria Odom Tedder

February 16, 1951 — February 15, 2022

Gloria Odom Tedder of Blakely passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 surrounded by her family. Her Funeral Service will be Thursday, February 17, 2022 at 11 AM at Southside Baptist Church with Rev. Dennis Singletary officiating.Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral beginning at 10 AM.Burial will follow at Colomokee Baptist Church Cemetery with Robbie Barkley, Bobby Barkley, Jamie Finlayson, Dan Williams, Caleb Williams, Tyler Williams, and Tanner Williams serving as pallbearers.

Gloria was born on February 16, 1951 to the late J L Odom and Sarah Dollar Odom.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Willard Odom and her sister, Sylvia Odom Nixon.

She is survived by her husband Jack Tedder of Blakely, GA, her daughters, Tammy Barkley (Robbie) of Albany, GA, Jackie Williams (Dan) of Blakely, GA, and Melanie Finlayson (Jamie) of Leesburg, GA, as well as seven grandchildren: Bobby Barkley, Sage Barkley, Caleb Williams, Tyler Williams, Tanner Williams, Bailey Finlayson, and Libby Finlayson. She also has 2 brothers and 2 sisters, Louette Odom (Brooke) of Arlington, GA, Larry Odom (Kathy) of Witchita Falls, TX, Virgeline Duke (Frank) of Albany, GA, and Sandra Eaton of Edison, GA.

Gloria loved and trusted the Lord her entire life. She was an active member of Southside Baptist Church where she found great joy in serving the Lord through teaching Sunday School and singing in the choir, as well as any other area where she was needed, especially those involving cooking and decorating. Her greatest blessing in life was her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother (Nana), and friend.
