Gloria Cannon Bostwick, 82, of 5311 Damascus-Hilton Rd., Blakely, GA passed away, October 16, 2018 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center, Dothan, AL. Her funeral service will be held on Friday, October 19, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the Chapel of Manry Jordan Hodges Funeral Home, Blakely, GA with Dr. Alex Howell officiating.Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to funeral time.Burial will be in the Colomokee Cemetery with Clint Bostwick, Craig Bostwick, Ray Bostwick, Paul Bostwick, Jeffrey Porter, Billy Cannon and Graham Galloway and Mark West serving as pallbearers.
Mrs. Bostwick was born, November 22, 1935 in Early County to the late Emory Augustus Cannon and Annie May Still Cannon. She was A member of Zion Freewill Baptist Church and a retired school bus driver for DeKalb County School System.Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Sammons "Sammye" Bostwick and a great-grandson, Cooper Sam Galloway.
Her survivors are one daughter, Deanne Bostwick Porter; two sons, Jeffrey Craig Bostwick and wife Shelley Faye of Eatonton, GA, Clinton Cannon Bostwick and wife Michele Eillen of Grayson, GA, five grandchildren; Sydney Galloway and husband Graham, Kelly Bostwick, Brandy Bryson, Clint Bryson and Jeffrey Porter.
