Glenna Vinson Isler, 78, of Coleman, GA passed on Saturday morning, June 12, 2021, at LifeBrite Community Hospital in Blakely.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 14, at Enterprise Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Douglas officiating and Gerald Chapman, Travis Bruner, Jason Brown, Terry Torbert, Daniel Everson, and Andy Owen serving as pallbearers.The deacons of the church will serve as honorary pallbearers.Interment will follow in the church cemetery.The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00, prior to the service.
Glenna was born on April 25, 1943 in Westminster, South Carolina to the late Jacob Clifton Vinson and Bessie Blackwell Vinson.She was a graduate of Westminster High School and worked in clerical positions at Great Southern Paper, now Georgia Pacific, and Riverside Manufacturing for numerous years.Prior to declining health, Glenna was a dedicated member of Enterprise Baptist Church and always looked forward to helping with events, especially vacation Bible school.She was very artistic and though she had none of her own, Glenna dearly loved her church children and numerous nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four siblings, Ralph Vinson, David Vinson, Annie Ruth Lyles, and Brenda Derrick.
Survivors include her husband of fifty-four years, Gerald Isler; her brother, Hoyt Vinson and his wife Fannie of Westminster; and three sisters-in-law, Carol Adams of Coleman, Mary Barham of Dothan, AL, and Polly Chapman (Gerald) of Edison along with numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and her beloved furbaby, Dandelion.
