Ginger Johnston Hunt, 63, passed away at her residence on September 9, 2021. The funeral Service will be held a 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday,September 15, 2021 in the chapel of Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home with Dr. Alex Howell officiating with interment in the Blakely Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, September 14,2021 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Manry Jordan Hodges Funeral Home.

Ginger was born on March 13, 1958 to the late Johnny and Myrtice Grimsley Johnston.She graduated from Early County High School in 1976. She received her Master's Degree in Art and Education from Valdosta State University.She attended Freewill Baptist Church of Colquitt, Ga. Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her son Matthew Lee Hunt.

Her Survivors include her husband Terry Lee Hunt of Blakely, GA, a son Cole Johnston Hunt and special friend Priscilla of Hihara, GA, a grandson Brandon Hunt and a granddaughter, Hailee Hunt. Also survived by a brother, Johnny Johnston, Jr. (Julie) of San Antonio, TX, a sister, Sue Johnston Briggs (Gary) of Salt Lake City, UT, several nieces and rephews, a great neice and four great nephews.
