Geta W Poole

It is with great sorrow that the family of Geta W. Poole, 88, announces her passing. Geta went to be with the Lord on February 26th, 2023. Geta was born on December 18th, 1934 to Burgess and Lucy Williams. Geta grew up in the Colomokee Community and the Colomokee Baptist Church. After moving into Blakely, she became a member of the First Baptist Church. Geta was a devoted mother and grandmother. She is survived by her daughter. Rhonda Sasser; her grandchildren Brannon Holley, Alexandra Burson, Kelsey Sasser, and William Riley and 7 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her daughter Julie Renee Poole, her mother Lucy Williams, her father Burgess Williams, her brother Welborne Williams, and her twin sister, Ouida Fincher. Visitation Saturday March 4, 2023 at Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home from 10am-11am with funeral service to follow in the funeral home chapel at 11am with Dr. Alex Howell officiating burial will be in the Blakely Cemetery Pallbearers: Shane Riley, Brannon Holley, Russell Fincher, Brad Waller, Ray Jordan, Wayne McGilvery.
