It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Geraldine Jacobs Johnson, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who departed this life on Thursday, December 19, 2024. Born on March 14, 1959, in Edison, GA, Geraldine lived a life full of love, compassion, and dedication to her family and community. Geraldine was a devoted caregiver, self-employed and known for her nurturing spirit and unwavering commitment to those she cared for. Her kindness and generosity touched the lives of many, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew her. She is survived by her loving children, Timothy Jacobs of Blakely, GA, John Johnson of Powder Springs, GA, and Stephina Reyes (Manny) of Yorktown, VA. Geraldine was a proud grandmother to Chance Reyes, Gabriel Reyes, Kira Reyes, and Kai Reyes, who brought immense joy to her life. Geraldine is also survived by her brothers, Charles Jacobs, Melvin Jacobs, Freddie Jacobs (Toni), and James Jacobs, and her sisters, Rutha P. Ash and Patricia Horton. She leaves behind many cherished nieces and nephews who will forever remember her warmth and wisdom. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mack Charles Jacobs and Queen Esther Jacobs, her son Ezekiel Patterson, her grandchild Kaia Reyes, her sister Annie Jacobs, and her brothers Eugene Jacobs, Joe Nathan Jacobs, Jonathan Jacobs, Johnny Jacobs, and Bobby Jacobs. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Geraldine's life at a funeral service on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at 1:00 pm at Union AME Church in Bluffton, GA. Visitation will be held at the same location from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm. Geraldine's legacy of love and care will continue to inspire all who knew her. May she rest in peace. Arrangements are being handled by Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home.
