Gerald Wayne Megahee, 67, of 17153 Damascus Hilton Road, Blakely, GA, passed away at his residence on August 10, 2018.A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 12, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Manry Jordan Hodges Funeral Home, Blakely, GA with Rev. Ryan Mason officiating.Visitation will be held from 1 -2 p.m. prior to the service.

Gerald was born, December 8, 1950, in Blakely, GA to the late Edward Earl Megahee and Julia May Majors Megahee.He was of the Baptist faith and a self-employed Excavator.

His survivors are one daughter, Laurie Powers and Glen of Hawkinsville, GA and one son, Brian and Aimee Megahee of Bonaire, GA; two sisters, Julianne Hudson of Blakely, GA, Barbara Kineard and Ray of Georgetown, GA; three brothers, Sonny and Janis Megahee of Blakely, GA, Jimmy and Faith Megahee of Arlington, GA and Johnny Megahee of Smithville, GA.He also has five grandchildren; Danielle Powers, Chandler Powers, Rheaghan Powers, Jewel Jones and Luke Jones.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to Kindred Hospice, 432 E Shotwell St., Bainbridge, GA 39819.
