Genita Nobles Brooks

Ms. Genita Nobles Brooks, 86, of Gainesville passed away Monday, April 5, 2021 at Bell Minor Home following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at Blakely Assembly of God in Blakely Ga. Interment will follow in Blakely Cemetery. Pastor Jerry Murkerson will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 10, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Blakely Assembly of God. Due to Covid-19, the family requests that everyone attending the visitation and service wear a mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines.

Born on April 9, 1934 in Blakely, GA she was the daughter of the late Walt and Nettie White Nobles. She was a homemaker who loved her family very much. Ms. Brooks was a member of Gainesville Church of God and attended New Haven Congregational Holiness Church.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Brooks is preceded in death by four brothers and six sisters and granddaughter, Chastity Cherry.

Ms. Brooks is survived by her sons and daughters in law, Richard and Vie Cherry of Donalsonville, GA; Larry and Patsy Cherry of Gainesville, Cliff and Pam Brooks of Gainesville; grandchildren, Alicia Boudreaux, Lynn Schaffer, Paul Antley, Todd Antley, Marah Lucas, Savannah Brooks; 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Emma Jean Raper of Fort Valley, GA and a number nieces, nephews and other relatives.
