Fred Horace Sawyer

Fred Horace Sawyer, Sr., 90, of 61 Sawyer Road, Blakely, GA, passed away early Thursday morning, December 12, 2019, at his residence. A graveside service will be held in the Blakely Cemetery Saturday, December 14, 2019, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Sterling Jones and Dr. Michael Warren officiating.

Mr. Sawyer was born on August 2, 1929 in Blakely, Ga. to the late Claude
Sawyer and Roxie Lisenby Sawyer. He was a retired farmer and property owner. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Fred H. Sawyer, Jr.

His survivors include his wife: Betty Stinson Sawyer of Blakely, GA, 2 nieces, Rita Williams and her husband, Donald of Johns Creek, GA, Susan Thomas and her husband Herb of Albany, GA, 2 nephews, Idus Stinson, Jr. and his wife Susan of Winston Salem, NC and Daniel Stinson and his wife Melissa of Sharpsburg, Ga.
