Frankie Lee Chambliss

Frankie Lee Chambliss, Jr, age 60, of Blakely, Georgia, passed away Saturday morning, July 15, 2023 at his residence. A funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, July 18 at 11:00 AM at First Assembly of God Blakely, Georgia. The family will visit with friends before the service at 10:00 AM. Frankie Jr. was born on September 1, 1962, to Frankie Lee and Marjorie Love Chambliss in Tampa, Florida. He was medically retired but worked most of his adult life as a meat cutter. Frankie began his career while in high school working at Blakely Freezer Locker. Over the years, he has worked at Winn Dixie, Harvey’s, and Food Lion Supermarkets serving as market manager for part of this time. Frankie enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, grilling and smoking meat for family and friends, and acting as co-owner and operator of Chambliss and Son Deer Processing for over 30 years. He cherished his family and friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He enjoyed making new friends with his customers at the deer plant over the many years of operation. Frankie prided himself in providing a family atmosphere and quality products for his customers, serving all as if they were family. Frankie attended First Assembly of God Church, along with his wife Susan, serving in several areas of the church. They both took pleasure in preparing and serving monthly fellowship meals to the church members when possible. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 37 years, Susan Miller Chambliss of Blakely, parents Frankie and Marjorie Chambliss of Blakely, sisters Lisa Batson (Donald) of Midland City, Al. and Kelly Batson (Randy) of Cumming, GA, niece Ashley Batson Smith (Derek) of Dothan, Al., nephew Randall Everett Batson, III (Ev) of Columbus, GA, great-nephew Kyler Smith and great-niece Kalli Smith, both of Dothan, Al., as well as numerous uncles, aunts, cousins. Frankie Jr. was preceded in death by his grandparents Joel Zach & Sylvia Ellen Chambliss and Dennis & Gertrude Anglin Love.
