Faye Wilkerson Prater, 81, of 5345 Ferguson Rd., Edison, GA 39846, died Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at the Joe-Anne Burgin Nursing Home in Cuthbert, GA. Her funeral will be held Friday morning, March 3, 2017 , at 11 AM at the Enterprise Baptist Church (Clay County) Edison, Ga. with Rev. David Crowdis officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Enterprise Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening, March 2, 2017, from 7 until 9 PM at Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Bill Stone, Frank Miller, Terry Worthy, Andy Owen, Rucker Smithand Jabo Cooper.

Mrs. Prater was a homemaker, assisted her husband on the farm and was a member of the Enterprise Baptist Church. She was born on August 14, 1935 in Edison, Ga to the late George Q. Wilkerson and Cullie Turner Wilkerson. Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Lemuel Prater.

Her survivors include a daughter, Kathy P. Ware and her husband Timmy and a son, Gene Prater and his wife Edith all of Edison, Ga. She has 2 sisters: Polly Schramm and Lee Beard, both of Cuthbert, GA. and a brother: James Wilkerson of Edison, Ga. There are 6 grandchildren: Michelle R. Worthy and Jason of Edison, Matthew Ragan of Edison, Christopher Prater and Maegan of Morgan, Ga., Heather Prater of Edison, Tiffany Swilley and Tripp of Pelham, Ga andKeith Ware and Megan of Savannah, Ga. There are also 5 great grandchildren: Nicholas Worthy and Ross Worthyof Edison, Ga., Katie Ware of Santa Rosa, CA, Jackson Ware of Ohio, Wes Swilley of Pelham and Maddox Ware of Savannah, Ga.
