Evelyn Rebecca Wright Jones, 89, of 1521 Fain's Hatchery Rd, Edison, GA, passed away at her home on Monday June 19. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 21 from 5pm to 7pm at Manry Jordan Hodges Funeral Home in Blakely, GA. Funeral services will be Thursday, June 22 at Salem Baptist church in Edison, GA. Services will be officiated by Pastor Daniel McFather with graveside eulogy by her nephew Tommy Wright, Jr. "Miz Evelyn" was born December 26, 1933 to the late John Washington Wright and Ruth Esther Tabb Wright in Hilton, GA. She was a nurse with the Calhoun County Health Dept in Morgan, GA. She is survived by one daughter, Deborah Lynn (Debbie) Jones, numerous nieces, nephews and 2 sisters in law (Melba Jones Harris and Brenda Jones Harris). She is preceded in death by her husband, J.C. (Cecil) Jones, son Michael A. (Mike) Jones, brother Tommy Wright Sr. and her parents; Mr. John & Miss Ruth Wright. As a Christian of strong faith, she loved God, her church, her family and was a friend to all. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Salem Baptist Church or your favorite organization if you wish.
