Evelyn Swords Dudley, 99, passed away on Tuesday afternoon, September 19, 2017 at the Miller Nursing Home in Colquitt, GA. Her graveside funeral service will be Thursday, September 21, 2017 at Oak Grove Cemetery in Arlington, GA at 11 AM with Dr. Gary Hadden officiating.Honorary pallbearers will be Trey, Matt, Will, Jacob, John Bryan and Gary Swords.Mrs. Dudley was born on March 12, 1918 to the late Harvin Swords and Camilla Gore Swords.She was a nurse serving hospitals in Blakely, Bainbridge, Arlington and retired after working at Phoebe Putney Hospital in Albany, GA. She was a member of the Arlington Baptist Church, Arlington, GA.Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Haskel Dudley, one daughter, Shirley Jean Thomas, two sisters; Kate Parr and Mary Jordan; one brother, Haniel Swords.

Her survivors include one daughter, Carol Thomas Bryan and husband Bill of Leary, GA; three grandchildren, Trey Bryan , Matt Bryan and Tonya and Will Bryan all of Leary, GA; three great-grandchildren, Rebekah, Jacob and John Bryan.
