Evan Knox Vickers

March 17, 2015 — December 10, 2022

Evan Vickers of Leary, GA passed away in the early morning hours of December 10, 2022 following a tragic accident at the tender ago of 7 years old. Evan was born in Atlanta, GA on March 17, 2015 to his parents, Kraig and Brittany Vickers of Leary, GA. He was little brother to Haley and Logan Farris and big brother to Kash Vickers. Although God only let us borrow Evan for a short time, he quickly taught everyone he met the true definition of strength and resilience. Heart defects, neuroblastoma cancer and multiple complications often made Evan’s childhood difficult but through it all, he fought his battles and won, almost always with the biggest smile on his face. Evan’s optimism, contagious smile and goofy grins could win over your heart instantly and because of this, his support system throughout his life became worldwide and compared to no other. Evan was an old soul that was wise beyond his years. He made friends quickly, loved fiercely and was a true inspiration to every person he ever met. The legacy this little boy leaves behind is being felt by everyone that knew him. Our “Fight Like Evan” family has become “Love Like Evan” and it fits perfectly. The multitude of lives he touched in his short 7 years is overwhelming and proud is an understatement. Evan was also just a normal little boy that loved school, his teachers, tractors, trains and playing outside. Little brother, Kash, was his best friend and they could constantly be found stirring a little mischief together. He gave the absolute best hugs and never missed an opportunity to say “I love you”. Although, we’ll never understand why or find an ounce of fairness in his death, we take comfort knowing that Evan is now healthy, whole and happily running the streets of Heaven with Jesus. Evan is survived by his parents, Kraig and Brittany Vickers..his older siblings, Haley and Logan Farris and his little brother, Kash Vickers. He’s grandson to Jim Vickers (Angie) of Milford, Ga and the late Rusty Kimbrel of Calhoun County, GA. Survivors also include multiple aunts, uncles, cousins and all of the lives/hearts he’s impacted in his short 7 years. Evan’s family will receive friends and family over the next few days at his home in Patmos, Ga. There will be memorial service Friday December 16, 2022 at the Pataula Charter Academy gym.
