Eva Maye Creel

Eva Maye Creel, 76, passed away at her home Friday, December 23, 2022. She was born May 7, 1946 to LH and Myra Pickle. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at Manry Jordan Hodges Funeral Home from 5 until 7 p.m. Her funeral will be Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at 10 a.m. in the Chapel of Manry Jordan Hodges Funeral home with Brother David Wolfe officiating.. Internment will follow at Bush Cemetery, Highway 27 down Cuba Road, Blakely, GA 39823., with Matt Taylor, Trey Taylor, Clay Taylor, C J Taylor, Andy Middleton , and Joe Watkins, Jr. serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer Huston Creel. Eva Maye was a loving mother and wonderful woman. She did a lot for her family and her community and would help those in need if she was able. She loved growing flowers and plants in her greenhouse and made the best biscuits you could ever eat! Eva Maye was a lifelong Christian believing in the saving power of our Lord Jesus Christ. She is preceded in death by her husband of more than 53 years Jerry B. Creel. Her father and mother LH and Myra Pickle, as well as an older brother Lynwood Pickle and sister Euryce Rayburn. Surviving are her two son’s, Jamey Creel (Paige) of Gadsden County, Florida, Josh Creel (Jennifer) of Early County, as well as a Grandson Huston Creel of Gadsden County, Florida. An older brother Larry Pickle and younger sister Wanda Taylor (Ned). Nephews and nieces: Matt Taylor, Trey Taylor, Clay Taylor and their families. Andy Middleton and Bobbie Jo Creel of Early County. Also lots of cousins in Georgia, Florida, and Alabama. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Early County Young Farmers Association’s scholarship fund. In memory of Eva Maye P. Creel.
