Eloise Cherry Nobles, 84, of 11740 Columbia Rd., Blakely, Ga., died Friday afternoon at Early Memorial Nursing Home. Her funeral will be held Monday, July 18, 2016 at 2 PM in the First Assembly of God Church with Rev. Jerry Murkerson officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation from 1 PM until funeral time at 2 PM in the church. Burial will follow in the Blakely Cemetery. Pallbearers will be added later.
Mrs. Nobles was born on November 5, 1931 in Slocomb, AL to the late Johnny Cherry and Ellie Thomas Cherry. She was a homemaker and had attended the First Assembly of God Church. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert (Buck) Nobles, a son, Robert Nobles, Jr. and a daughter, Janice Rebecca Nobles.
Eloise is survived by 2 daughters: Elaine Nobles Cable of Blakely, GA and Gail Griffin and David of Blakely. She has 4 sisters: Elizabeth Ezell and Bridges of Ft. Gaines, GA, Linda Ivey of Pine Mountain, GA, Evelyn Cherry Mulkey and Ronnie and Gloria Love and William, all of Blakely, Ga. She has 2 brothers: Johnny Mack Cherry and Merle of Florida and Earl "Hammie" Cherry of Blakely, Ga. 3 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren also survive.
