Ms. Elizabeth Brownlee Clenney, 87, of 1035 E. Old Bainbridge Rd., Jakin, Ga. 39861 passed away Saturday morning, Oct. 22, 2016 in the Pioneer Community Hospital of Early in Blakely, GA. Her funeral will be held on Monday, Oct. 24, 2016 at 2 PM in the Jakin Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Sheffield officiating. Burial will follow in the Jakin Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the church sanctuary for visitation from 1 PM until funeral time at 2. Pallbearers will be

Ms. Clenney was born Jan. 4, 1929 in Blakely, Ga to the late Claude Brownlee and Donnie Allen Brownlee. She was a retired seamstress, having worked at textile companies in Blakely and Donalsonville. She was a member for many years at the Jakin Freewill Baptist Church.Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Bennie Joe Clenny, a sister, Ethel Nobles and a brother, David Brownlee.
Her survivors include a sister, Marlene Brownlee Johnson and a brother, Kenneth Brownlee and his wife, Maggie, all of Americus, GA. anda sister-in-law, Joann Clenny Hall of Jacksonville, FL. There are 2 granddaughters: Megan Clenny of Astoria, NY and Michelle Clenny Brown and her husband Justin of Phenix City, AL, a great grandson: John Kenneth Brown of Phenix City, AL, daughter-in-law, Debbie Clenny of Ozark, AL, 2 nephews: Norman Nobles of Jakin, GA and Ronnie Johnson of Navarre, FL. There are also 4 nieces: Rossie Adams, Jakin, GA, Connie Jarvis of Rockmart, GA, Kim Brownlee of Americus, GA and Kelly Manning of Ellaville, GA.
In addition to those named above, Ms Clenney also had numerous great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews and great-great-great nieces.
