Edwin David Eaton

This obituary is posted as a courtesy from Southern Heritage Funeral Home Edwin David Eaton, a resident of Dothan, Alabama died unexpectedly, Sunday, September 25, 2022, at his home. He was 65. A Graveside Memorial Service will be held at 2PM EST, Friday, September 30, 2022, at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in Edison, Georgia with Reverend Larry Sowell officiating and Southern Heritage Funeral Home directing. David was born on October 18, 1965 to the late Charlie and Alma McGee Eaton in Edison, Georgia. He was a mechanic by trade, later owning and operating Quality Transmission for twenty years. He believed in hard work. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, and shooting firearms. David never met a stranger, ready to carry on a good conversation with whoever he came across. He loved to make people laugh, often thought of as the life of the party. When it came to helping people, he would literally give you the shirt off his back. He was a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather. His most precious times was making lasting memories with his family and friends. David was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Samuel Eaton, and Charlie Eaton Jr. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 43 years, Linda Littlefield Eaton; a daughter, Kim McFay (Chad); a son, Adam Eaton (Samantha); five grandchildren, Abel Eaton, Jason Bouchard, Kaylynn Hunter, Raelyn McFay, and one on the way; two nieces; along with numerous friends.
