Edward Dean Burdette, 68, of Blakely, passed away suddenly on Saturday, April 11, 2020, at his residence.
Due to current regulations, a private service will be held at Blakely Cemetery.
He was born February 4, 1952 in Toccoa, Ga. to the late Edward Ray Burdette and Marilyn Ruth Sanders Burdette.Eddy was an auto body repairman throughout his career.Though he retired from Thompson Motor Co., the respectable demand for his talent never ceased and he later continued through Burdette Auto Repairs.Along with repairing their vehicles, Eddy also served his community as a fireman and certified EMT.He always tried to do the very best he could no matter what he was doing.He also tried to set a very good example for the community as a man who loved his Creator and he wanted to help others to learn about Him and Christ Jesus.
He is survived by his wife, Vicki Gunderman Burdette; a son, Jason Burdette of Blakely; his brother, David Burdette of Bernardsville, NC.; a sister, Jean Reece (Randy) of Burnsville, NC; and numerous friends and colleagues.
