Edna Joyce Kimbrel, 76, of Arlington passed away Sunday, April 7, 2024 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Patmos Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Freddy McCrackin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at Manry Jordan Hodges Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Roy Manos, Jace Milner, Austin Engram, Travis Engram, Garrett Kimbrel, and Wyatt Kimbrel. Mrs. Kimbrel was born December 11, 1947 in Arlington, Georgia to Calvin Melvin Weathers and Louellen Gore Weathers. She was married to the late Bennie Wilson Kimbrel for 42 years until his death in 2006. Mrs. Kimbrel worked for Amy Industries as a seamstress for 30 years. After retiring from there, she started a new chapter and returned to school and began working for Calhoun County Hospital in medical billing. She was a member of Patmos Free Will Baptist Church. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Kimbrel was preceded in death by a sister, DeeDee Craft, and a Grandson, Jonathan Lance Kimbrel. She is survived by her children, Gene B. Kimbrel (Sharon) of Cottonwood, Al., Teresa Dale Engram (James David) of Arlington, Ga., Benjamin Michael Kimbrel (Jayme Milner) of Arlington, Ga., and Stephanie Dawn Kimbrel (Lawrence) of Bainbridge, Ga. She is also survived by her sister, Vivian Whitaker (Wendell) of Arlington, Ga., 10 Grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
