Jack Dustin Davis, 46, of Blakely, GA passed away peacefully at his residence on Wednesday, February 10, 2021, following an extended illness.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m on Friday evening, February 12th, at Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home.Though a private family memorial service will be held, the family would like to recognize his dear friends Scott Anglin, Adam & Chan Benton, Jim Copp, Richard Herring, Johnny McMurria, Eddie Stapleton, Adam Still, Sam Storey, and Alan Tiner as honorary pallbearers.
Born and raised in Blakely, Dustin was a '93 graduate of Early County High School.He was a parts manager at McMurria Auto Parts for numerous years and a member of Centerville United Methodist Church.At work and home, Dustin was always smiling and willing to help.He was the life-of-the-party and loved animals but never minded putting a hook in a fish's mouth.His legacy of character and faith already lives on through his son and will continue for many generations.He will be dearly missed by his loving family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Tami Lynn Davis; his children, Jackson Wyatt Davis and Emily Copp (Jim) and their sons, Hudson, Nash & Rhett; his father, Terry Davis; his mother, Terry Smith Hoover (John) of Tallahassee, FL; three brothers, Matthew Hoover (Lauren) of Orlando, FL, David Hoover (Charlotte), and John Hoover, Jr. (Juanise) both of Crawfordville, FL; two nephews, Brad and Harrison Hoover; a niece, Kaitlin Parker; his maternal grandmother, Carolyn Carter of Tallahassee; his mother and father-in-law, Betty and Dickie Newton of Holt, FL; two sisters-in-law, Christie Ward (April) and their daughter Avery, and Casey Wicks and her children, Paige & Alec, along with numerous extended family members and friends
