Douglas McDaniel Peel, of 115 Lynn Rd., Bainbridge, GA, passed away Friday, December 22, 2017 at the Bainbridge Manor. His funeral will be a Graveside Service held on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at 11 AM in the Carnegie Baptist Church Cemetery, Carnegie, Ga. with Rev. Jackie Williams officiating. Military Rites will follow Reverend Williams message.
Mr. Peel was born on July 10, 1930 in Cuthbert, GA to the late John Allen Peel and Lillian McDaniel Peel. Other than his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter: Cathy Turner, 4 sisters: Eloise Johnson, Marie Tompkin, Mireze Hilton, Minnie Ruth Wilkerson and by 5 brothers: Dempsey, Ben Louie, Robert Cullen, A. J. and George Allen Peel. He retired as a Supervisor for the Decatur County Road Department. He was a member of the Carnegie Baptist Church and was a U. S. Air Force Veteran, having served during the Korean Conflict.
His survivors include 2 sons: Douglas Wayne Peel and Kim of Edison, GA and Douglas McDaniel Peel, Jr. and Tammy of Greenville, SC. There are also 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
