Dorothy Cannon "Dot" Willis, 91, passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2018, in the E. R. at Flowers Hospital in Dothan, Al. Her funeral will be held Friday morning, February 9, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Blakely with Dr. Glenn Sheppard, Dr. James Rogers and Rev. Keith Alderman officiating.The family will receive friends for visitation starting at 10 a.m. in the church sanctuary. Active pallbearers will be Lamar White, Kevin White, Bubba Ash, Cody Ash, Ronnie Willis and Trevor Willis.
Mrs. Willis was born on Dec. 2, 1926 in Early County to the late James Arthur Cannon and Susie Mock Cannon. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Blakely, Past President of the Blakely Pilot Club and for many years she was a bookkeeper for Felder and Son Ford dealership and retired as bookkeeper from Hattaway Ford. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Harold Willis and 2 sisters; Claudia Rogers and Mamie Dell Bridges.
Her survivors include two daughters; Carolyn White and Larry of Blakely and Marilyn Ash and Chuck of Troy, AL and 4 grandchildren; Lamar White and Erica of Fairhope, AL, Kevin White and Allison of Adairsville, GA, Bubba Ash and Courtney of Troy, AL and Cody Ash also of Troy.There are also 7 great-grandchildren.
