Dorothy Ann Bynum

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Dorothy Ann Bynum, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. Dorothy, aged 91, passed away on August 13, 2024, at her home in Suwanee, Georgia, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Litchfield, Kentucky on June 5, 1933, and was a devoted homemaker, finding joy in caring for her family. Ann Bynum cherished her Christian faith and found peace and solace in her relationship with God. She lived a simple and fulfilling life on her farm in Blakely, Georgia, where she loved her horses and donkey dearly. Her gentle spirit and kind heart touched the lives of all who knew her. Ann Bynum was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Bynum; cherished son, Mark Bynum; her beloved parents, the late Alsey and Marie Decker Day. She will be deeply missed by her son, Tom Bynum, daughter-in-law Leika Bynum, grandson Kevin Bynum, and sister Helen Larsen. Her memory will be forever cherished by her family and friends. A graveside service to honor Ann Bynum’s life will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., at Blakely City Cemetery in Blakely, Georgia. Despite the sadness that fills our hearts, we take solace in knowing that Dorothy is at peace, surrounded by the love of her family and the memories she leaves behind. May we find comfort in the legacy of love and kindness that Ann Bynum leaves behind, as we gather to celebrate her life and say our final goodbyes.
