Dora Pearl Stuart Patterson, 80, of 112 Dovewood Drive, Brunswick, GA 31523 and formerly of Arlington, GA, passed at her son's home Wednesday, May 3, 2017. Her funeral will be held Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home with Dr. Gary Hadden and Rev. Jerry Windsor officiating. Burial will follow in the Crossroads Cemetery, Damascus, GA. The family will receive friends starting at 1 PM up until funeral time at 2. Active Pallbearers will be Kevin Patterson and his sons: Keaton and Kyle and Keith Patterson and his sons James and Jonathan. Honorary pallbearers will be Coy Barnes, Roy and Mike Stuart and Aaron Patterson.

Mrs. Patterson was born November 1, 1936 in Damascus, Ga. to the late Robert Edward Lee Stuart and Leila Phillips Stuart. She was a retired school teacher having taught at the Bible Baptist School in Savannah, Ga. She received her Bachelor's' degree from Berry College in Rome, GA. She was a member of the Arlington Baptist Church. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death her husband, Hoyt Chester Patterson and by 6 siblings.

Her survivors include her two sons; Martin Keith Patterson and wife Barbara of Etowah, TN and Kevin Lee Patterson and wife Kim of Brunswick, Ga., a brother, Roy Stuart and his wife Ilene of Arlington, Ga. There are 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
