Mr. Donald Turner Carraway, 88, passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at his home at 113 Winchester Drive Leesburg, GA.There will be a private graveside service held Friday, February 10, 2017 with Military honors.

Mr. Carraway was born on September 3, 1928 in Shelby, MS to the late Charles B. Carraway and Minnie Bruick Martin.Other than his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Willie Pearl Granger Carraway, by a grandson, Cory Bell and a step-son, Danny Temples, a sister, Bonnie Glynn Goins and two brothers; Roy Carraway and Charles B. Carraway, Jr.

Mr. Carraway was a retired Chief Warrant Officer of the US Marine Corp having served in Korea and Vietnam.He was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church of Blakely.

His survivors would include a daughter, Donna Carraway Nollman of Leesburg, GA, a sister, Judy Martin Marcelino and Rick of Dandridge, TN,4 grandchildren; Kristen Fortuna and Philip of Virginia Beach, VA, John Temples of Leesburg, GA, Laura Temples Ellsworth and Ryan of Leesburg, GA, Julia Temples and Juan Otano of Albany, GA, 9 great-grandchildren; Andrew and Alex Bell of Americus, GA, Lexi Bell of Statesboro, GA, Ethan and Lilia Fortuna of Virginia Beach, VA, Jackson and Griffin Ellsworth of Leesburg, GA, Mila Otano of Albany, GA and Evie Temples of Leesburg, GA.
