Dianne Willbanks Sanders was born on March 31, 1943 in Atlanta, GA, to the late Aubrey Allen and Mary Lee Buford Willbanks. She passed away suddenly on Friday, August 16, 2024 at her home near Lexington, SC. Throughout her life, Dianne was freely and constantly generous, kind, devoted, and loving to her friends, her pets, and most of all to her family. She loved, and was dearly loved by everyone who knew her, including strangers in waiting rooms, babies, children, all animals, waitresses at her Waffle House, her neighbors, and all friends of her husband, daughters and grandchildren. Everyone who knew her loved her, because she exuded love, understanding, and kindness. Dianne's legacy is love. She was a blessing to her whole family, and she will be loved and missed forever. She enjoyed picking up rocks, shopping, and creating drawings and paintings on rocks and walking sticks. She was happily married to Lamar Sanders for 50 years. Their marriage was one of good times, miles of wonderful road trips, picnics, and peaceful, happy family togetherness. Dianne is survived by her husband of 50 years, Lamar Sanders; daughters, Michelle Farris (Rick) and Stephanie McCravy (Scott); beloved stepson, Curt Sanders (Melissa); grandchildren, Ava Farris, Coralie Farris, Sam McCravy, and Garrett McCravy; sisters, Norma Parris and Sandra Wood; and her cats, Amber and Jesse. She was predeceased by her brother, Charles Willbanks. Services in South Carolina will be held at Barr-Price Funeral Home in Lexington, SC, on Saturday, August 24, 2024. The family will receive visitors from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the funeral home, with the service to be held directly after at 2:00 PM. A separate service and burial will be held 1.6 miles east of Edison, GA on Georgia Highway 37, at Salem Church and Cemetery on Monday, August 26, 2024. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM and the funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM. Flowers may be sent to Barr-Price Funeral Home in Lexington for the South Carolina service, or to Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home in Blakely, GA, for the Georgia service.
