Deloris Williams Redding, of 105 Edison Rd., Bluffton, GA 39824 passed away Friday evening, April 28, 2017 at Willowood Assisted Living in Edison, GA. The family will hold a visitation Saturday, May 6, 2017 from 2 M until 4 PM at the Willowood Assisted Living, at 19818 Hartford St., Edison, GA 39846. There will be a memorial Service held Sunday May 7, 2017 at 2 PM at the Vincent United Methodist Church with Rev. Jackie Williams and Rev. Susan Beverly officiating.
Mrs. Redding was born in Irwinton, GA on Nov. 24, 1929 to the late James Frank Williams and Ruby Gertrude Reece Williams. She was a retired School Teacher for the Clay County School System for a number years and prior to teaching, she was an employee of the State of Georgia for many years. She was a member of the Vincent United Methodist Church. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 sisters: Frankie Williams Doolittle and Carolyn Williams Humphrey.
Her survivors include her husband of 64 years, Joel Phillip Redding of Bluffton, GA and 2 daughters: JoDel R. Perryman and her husband Bill of Coleman, GAand Debbie R. Ingram, also of Coleman. There are 3 grandchildren:Casey Leigh Taylor of Americus, Ga, Joel Phillips Redding, II and Sharra Parker of Newton and their son, Phil's great grandson, Beau Parker Redding, all of Newton, GA and Jillian Reece Ingram of Atlanta, GA.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be sent to either the Vincent United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund or to the general fund of the Bluffton Baptist Church.
