Deloris Tabb Eubanks of Blakely passed away December 5, 2016 at the age of 92.
Mrs. Eubanks was born May 11, 1924 to the late Luther Ernest Tabb and Vera Temples Tabb. She was preceded in death by her husband Hugh Eubanks; three sisters, Ernestine Tabb, Eunice T. Knighton and Beth Henson; two brothers, Kenneth Tabb and Eddie Tom Tabb; two nieces and one nephew. Survivors include one sister, Frances Mulligan of Spartanburg, SC; eight nieces and three nephews; and many great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Eubanks and her husband Hugh owned Eubanks Photography Studio. In addition to photography, she extended her artistic talents to painting. After retiring from photography, she operated a children's daycare in her home for many years. Many of those who attended her daycare continued to keep in touch with her over the years.
As a 72-year member of the First Baptist Church of Blakely, she served over the decades as a children's Sunday school teacher, training union leader and nursery worker. She was a member of the Dorcas Sunday School Class. Her civic involvement included Pilot Club, Early County Historical Society and Early County Museum. As a strong supporter of the museum, she provided many of the photographs on display. In addition to the museum, her photographs can be seen in businesses around Blakely.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at 10 am in the Blakely Cemetery. Reverend Keith Alderman of First Baptist Church of Blakely officiating.
