Delma Omera Barbree Houston, 98, passed away early this morning, August 30, 2018, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center, Dothan, AL.A graveside service will be, Saturday, September 1, 2018, at 11:30 a.m. at the Blakely Cemetery with Dr. Cliff Houston and Mrs. Pam Grist officiating.Visitation will be at the First Baptist Church social hall at 10:30 a.m.

Mrs. Houston was born on September 18, 1919 to the late Remus Lee Barbree and Minnie Lee Newberry Barbree.She was a paraprofessional for the Early County Elementary School System and a member of the First Baptist Church and a member of the American Legion Auxillary.Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Cary Marvin Houston; one sister, Carolyn Virginia Fuller and three brothers; Dorsey Rudolph Barbree, Eugene Cook Barbree and Richard (Dick) Barbree.

Her survivors include one daughter, Pam and Richard (Buck) Grist of Blakely, GA a son, Dr. Cliff Houston and Karen of Pittsview, NY, one sister, Alicia and Robert Collier of Blakely, GA.There are four grandchildren; Virginia Grist Gordon (Randy), Richard (Dee) Grist (April), Amanda Casey and Emily Houston (Liz); four great-grandchildren.

The family will be receiving friends at the home of Richard and Pam Grist.
