David Michael "Mike" Mills

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. in New Park Cemetery with Reverend Randy Stokes officiating.
Mike was born on April 21, 1958 in Fort Gaines to the late Thomas Howell "Deedie" Mills, Jr. and Laura Elizabeth Embry Mills.After graduating from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College, he owned and operated an auto parts store in Fort Gaines before accepting a job with Coca-Cola in Atlanta.Starting out as a diesel mechanic, Mike worked his way up to fleet manager over the twenty years he spent with the company before moving back to Fort Gaines.Along with his father, he enjoyed working with bird dogs and competing in field trials.They were especially proud of winning a national championship.
Survivors include his daughter, Michelle Graham and her husband Tom of Arnoldsville, GA.; two sons, Christopher Mills of Covington, GA and Matthew Mills and his wife Emily of Milledgeville, GA; four grandchildren, Jake Mills, Clint Graham, Chloe Graham and Gracie Mills; his brother, Tommy Mills and his wife Susan of Ellijay, GA; and his former wife and caretaker, Jane Hayes of Fort Gaines.
