Danny Clyde Hardy

Danny Clyde Hardy, 77, of Blakely, Ga., passed away July 29, 2024 at Southeast Health in Dothan, Al. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Blakely Cemetery with Dr. Alex Howell officiating. The family will receive visitors at the graveside one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Danny was born April 2, 1947 in Houston County, Al. to the late J.T. and Mary Leola Hardy. He was married to Anne Ivey Hardy for 34 years. Danny was retired as a foreman with City of Dothan Environmental Services and was also a local farmer. He was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, Danny was predeceased by a brother-in-law, C.F. Starling, and a nephew, Brock Starling. He is survived by his wife, Anne Ivey Hardy, sons, Michael Hardy of Rehobeth, Al., Johnny Hardy of Rehobeth, Al., and Ronny Hardy of Rehobeth, Al., granddaughter, Cecilly Hardy (Josh Maye) of Dothan, Al., sisters, Virginia Hardy Starling of Abbeville, Al., Ann Hardy McKnight (Albert) of Midland City, Al., brother-in-law, Hugh Ivey of Camilla, Ga., and a sister-in-law, Sybil Ivey of Camilla, Ga. Several nieces and nephews also survive. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the ALS Association, 1300 Wilson Blvd. Suite 600, Arlington, Va. 22209 or donation@als.org in memory of Danny. Also, the family requests casual attire for the service. Manry Jordan Hodges Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
