Chester White, 87, passed away December 29, 2017, at the Donalsonville Hospital, Donalsonville, Ga.His funeral will be Wednesday, January 3, 2018, at 11 a.m. at the Chapel of Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Murkerson and Rev. Scott Bryant officiating. A private interment for family only, ministers and pallbearers will follow the chapel service in the Blakely Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be Andy White, Bobby Smith, Harold Hardy, Stuart Spence, Pat Storey, Tyler Allemand Troy Taylor.Honorary Pallbearer will be David Cannon. Visitation will on Tuesday evening, January 2, 2018, from 6 to 8 p.m.at Manry Jordan Hodges Funeral Home.Mr. White was born on May 12, 1930 in Blakely, GA to the late Charlie Cleveland White and Cappie White.He was a member of the Blakely Church of God and he was a Cotton Ginner/ Peanut Plant Supervisor for the old Farmer's Gin and Warehouse and he retired from Birdsong Peanuts as the Peanut Plant Supervisor. Other than his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Gloria Jean Brunson, three brothers; El Vester White, Eal Doster White, Frank White and two sisters; Bronnie Mae Granger and Mary Lizzie White Davis.
His survivors include two daughters, Gloria Lowe and Clyde, Kynesville, FL, Judy Carol Freeman and James, Blakely, GA, one son; Andy White and Liz of West Virginia; eight grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
