Charles “Winston” Felder, 95, passed peacefully away at home on December 9, 2023. Winston was born in Early County, GA on July 16, 1928, the youngest son of the late Idus Derrell Felder and Eula Paulk Felder. He attended Riverside Military Academy, returned to graduate from Blakely Union High School and then Auburn University with a degree in Agricultural Science. He married his high school sweetheart, Winifred Alexander, and they began farming land his father left him along the Chattahoochee River. Over the years, he transitioned Riverside Farm from row crops to cattle and eventually to pine trees. For many years he was an active member of Blakely Methodist Church and served on the local hospital board. He was preceded in death by his wife, Winifred, daughter, Anne Marshall (Billy, deceased) and grandson, Kevin Marshall as well as siblings Analine Nelson, Derrell Felder, Winifred Graham, Alfred ‘Red’ Felder and Tommy Felder. He is survived by daughter, Lynda Stokes (Chester) of Lake City, FL, grandchildren, Bill Hobbs (Katie) of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, Leah Moore (James) of Lake City, FL and Kevin’s widow, Chika Marshall of Blakely, GA, along with great-grandchildren, Anna Moore, Lily Moore, Henry Hobbs, Winston Hobbs, Midori Marshall, Haruka Marshall. The family wishes to thank the outstanding team of loving caregivers who made it possible for our beloved ‘Pa’ to live comfortably until his death in the house in which he had been born.
