C.D. Phillips

Mr. Cathiel Daniel (C.D.) Phillips, of 7457 Old Lucile Rd., Blakely, Ga 39823, died early Wednesday morning, Sept. 13, 2017 at Piedmont/Fayette Hospital in Fayetteville, Ga. His funeral will be held Saturday morning, Sept. 16, 2017 at 11 AM at the graveside in the Blakely Cemetery with Rev. Robert Mitchell and Rev. Charles Geller officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation starting at 10:30 AM at the grave site on Lane F.
Mr. Phillips was born on March 5, 1927 in Eldorado, Arkansas to the late Chester Daniel Phillips and Claire Inez Lassiter Phillips.C. D. was retired from Great Northern Paper Mill as Head of Mechanical Maintenance.He was a member of Southside Baptist Church and a veteran of WWII serving in the U. S. Navy.Other than his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Emma Catherine Vernon Phillips.
His survivors include one daughter, Kathy Geller and Charles of Colorado Springs, CO, one son, Dan Phillips and Helen of Peachtree City, GA.; three grandchildren, Josh Geller and Patty of Dallas Texas, Gabe Geller and Liz of Houston, TX and Laura Armour and Kirk of Peachtree City, GA; three great-grandchildren, Dylan Geller, Dallas, TX, Claire and Emma Armour of Peachtree City, GA.
In lieu of flowers,the family requests that memorials be made to the Southside Baptist Church, P. O. Box 644, Blakely, GA 39823
