Mrs. Carol Maxine Powell, 80, passed away at Early Memorial Nursing Home on Wednesday, November 24, 2021.A graveside service will be on Friday, November 26, 2021, at 2 p.m. at New Park Cemetery in Ft. Gaines, GAwith Bro. Lyle Brackin officiating.

Carol was born March 2, 1941in Abbeville, AL to the late John Mack Hardwick and Mary Pet Hardwick.She was a member of First Baptist Church of Blakely.Gardening was her favorite hobby.She loved her family and friends dearly.Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Mickey Wayne Hardwick.

Her survivors include her husband of 61 years, Arthur H. Powell, Sr., one son, Arthur H. Powell, Jr.wife Sandy, two grandchildren; Parker Powell and Eli Powell, one brother, William ScottHardwick wife, Connie, sister-in-law, Catherine Hardwick and several nieces and nephews.
