Brenda G. Wall, 69, of Blakely passed away peacefully at her home on May 14, 2024. Graveside services will be held Friday, May 17, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Dawson. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 16, 2024, at Manry Jordan Hodges Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Brenda was born September 7, 1954, in Dawson, Ga. to the late Kenneth Wade Gay and Margaret Waller Stiltner. She retired after 43 years as a librarian for the Lucy Hilton Maddox Memorial Library, where she shared her love of books and reading. Brenda was well known as a contributing editor for the Early County News, writing a weekly article, “All That’s Fit To Print.” She was a member of the Study Club and was the charter president of the Friends of Kolomoki, organized in 1995, which included facilitating the Kolomoki Festival. Brenda had a love for dogs, as well as most all furry creatures. Brenda is survived by her husband of 52 years, Brad Wall, daughter, Leslie Gregoire (George), grandchildren, Evan and Luke, sister, Lynn Lake (Bernie), and niece Katie Lake (fiancé Omid Bashiri). In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Lucy Hilton Maddox Memorial Library. Manry Jordan Hodges Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
