Bobby Christopher "Chris" Peterson

Chris Peterson, a resident of Blakely, Georgia, died Wednesday afternoon, September 20, 2023, at Archbold Medical Center in Thomasville, Georgia. He was 48 years old. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday September 26, 2023, at First Free Will Baptist Church in Blakely with Rev. Royce Horne officiating. The family will host a Celebration of Life at Chris’s beloved farm following the service. Chris was born in Dothan, Alabama and has been a lifelong resident of Early County. Chris was employed with Southern Agcom for 15 years as Field Superintendent. Chris loved to hunt, fish, and everything Harley Davidson. Chris was preceded in death by his father, Bobby C Peterson of Blakely, Ga. Surviving family members include his wife, Denna L. Peterson, two daughters, Rebecca Roberts (Reed), Philadelphia, PA Jessica Temples (Dillon), Blakely, GA one son, Cole Peterson (Sabryna), Colquitt, GA bonus daughter, Jennifer Ledden (Josh), Bainbridge, GA mother, Mary Lou Peterson, Blakely, GA sister, Sharon Smart (Shelton), Atlanta, GA, one granddaughter, Reagan Roberts, and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Lung Cancer Research Foundation
