Bobbie Ruth Jordan on Angel's wings did depart this earth on Sunday June 12, 2016 in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. She was 75 years young. Miss Jordan was born September 1, 1940 in Blakely, GA to the late Robert Lee Jordan and Ruth Jordan.She is preceded in death by her brother Sammy Jordan and her life partner of 39 years Loren Ewing. She is survived by her sister Joann Fitzgibbons, Robert Fitzgibbons and ten nieces and nephews.

Bobbie Ruth was faith, she embraced it to survive. Born with an impaired muscle condition she struggled to participate in the daily affairs of life. What she did do was pray and dream. Her dream was to live a ‘normal' life, be a successful contributor in the workforce and meet and marry a Hollywood actor.
Bobbie's faith took her from Atlanta to live near her sister JoAnn in southern California. Bobbie began a successful working career at Casa Colina Rehab Center. It also happened that a Hollywood actor named Loren Ewing was rehabbing in a facility near Bobbie from an injury he incurred on a movie set. The two met along the way, developed a friendship which blossomed into a 39 year love relationship.Bobbie's hard work was honored with an Employee of the Year award at a formal ceremony at Casa Colina Rehab Center.A few years later her life story was featured in a book publication.

Her faith, ushered through her earnest prayer was answered in a beautiful life. She will always be remembered in our hearts and so many others as an Angel.

A Funeral service is planned for Saturday June 18th, 2016 in the Chapel of Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral home at 11:00 am with Dr. Alex Howell officiating. A viewing and visitation is scheduled at 10:00 am. Burial will be in the Blakely Cemetery.
