Billy Harris Temples, 69, of Blakely, Ga., passed away at his family home Thursday, December 8, 2016.
Mr. Temples was born November 6, 1947, in Blakely, Ga., to Josephine Elizabeth Temples and the late Mack Temples Jr. He served in the United States Air Force as a medic from 1966 to 1972 and was stationed in Turkey. He worked alongside his father for many years farming in Early and Clay counties before becoming the owner and operator of Temples Farms Inc., in 1999. Prior to his retirement, he enjoyed serving as a courier for Damascus Peanut Company. He was member of Bethel Baptist Church and the P.F. Fitzgerald American Legion Post 11.
Survivors, other than his mother, include his wife, Elizabeth Dialane Temples; a son, Michael Temples and wife Tiffany of Blakely; a daughter, Mary Beth Temples of Blakely; a granddaughter, Hannah Grace Temples; and a sister, Jeannie Temples Davis and husband Tommy of Leesburg.
Funeral services were Saturday, December 10, 2016, at 10 a.m. at Bethel Baptist Church with Dr. Michael Warren officiating. Interment followed at Bethel Cemetery in Clay County with military rites.
Pallbearers were Brian Evans, Earvin Evans, Jason Kirkland, Jonathan Kirkland, Jackie Smith and Mike Sumner.

Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
